While teeth whitening is generally safe, it may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with certain dental conditions or sensitivities. It's essential to consult with our dental hygienist before undergoing any whitening treatment to ensure it's the right option for you.
Some people may experience temporary mild tooth sensitivity after whitening treatment, but it typically resolves within a few days. Our dental hygienist can recommend desensitizing products or adjust the treatment to minimize discomfort.
The longevity of whitening results varies from person to person and depends on factors such as oral hygiene habits and lifestyle choices. With proper care, the results of professional whitening can last anywhere from several months to a few years.
Professional teeth whitening, when performed by a qualified dental professional, is safe and effective. The whitening agents used in professional treatments are carefully formulated to minimize any potential harm to your teeth and gums. However, it's essential to follow your dental hygienist's instructions and not overuse whitening products to prevent any negative effects.
Unfortunately, teeth whitening is not a permanent solution. Over time, the natural aging process and lifestyle factors such as diet, smoking, and consumption of staining beverages/foods can cause teeth to become discolored again. However, you can prolong the results of professional whitening by practicing good oral hygiene and avoiding habits that contribute to staining.
While professional teeth whitening can produce dramatic results, it's not an instant process for every person. Depending on the method used, it may take several sessions to achieve the desired level of whitening. Additionally, the results may vary from person to person based on factors such as the severity of staining and the condition of the teeth.
Whitening toothpaste can help remove surface stains and maintain the brightness of your smile, but they typically cannot achieve the same level of whitening as professional treatments. Professional whitening procedures use stronger whitening agents and customized treatment plans to deliver more significant and longer-lasting results.
While it's true that professional teeth whitening can enhance the appearance of your smile, it can also have psychological benefits. Many people report feeling more confident and self-assured after whitening their teeth, leading to improved social interactions and even professional opportunities.
